Internal browser authentication is deprecated as of the 2.8 release.

Features

Users can now launch Secret Server Session Connector launchers directly from Connection Manager. See Launchers for more information.
Users can now update the Debug configuration without admin rights. See Log Files for more information.
Users can now install Connection Manager without admin rights on Windows. See Installing on Windows for more information.

FIDO2 WebAuthn authentication is now available on MacOS, which enables secure passwordless authentication using hardware security keys, biometrics or platform authenticators during remote RDP sessions. See Authenticating With WebAuthn for more information.
The RDP experience on MacOS was upgraded for improved usability and convenience including the ability to resize without initiating a reconnect flow. The updated FreeRDP version now supports auto-resize. See Desktop Size and Auto Expand for more information.

Users now have more consistency between application configuration and CLI installation settings with the ability to insert command line arguments during installation. See Command Line Arguments for more information.
User configuration settings are now preserved between upgrades.
Added connection failed reason for INFO log level.
Updated the password copy notification for property panel.
Connection Manager now offers unicode clipboard support.

Users may now modify RDP rendering settings in order to reduce memory. See RDP Rendering Settings for more information.

Application configuration settings along with their values were moved from the Application Configuration file to the Registry on Windows. See Application Configuration via Windows Registry Editor for more information.
Users now have configuration options for external browser authentication including incognito mode so users can automatically close authentication tabs, authenticate with multiple accounts, adjust authentication window location, etc. See Customizing External Browser Authentication and Authenticating to Secret Server via External Browser for more information.

Fixed an issue where session monitoring for sessions launched via Connection Manager would display a "Launcher did not start" error. [649218]
