Using VNC

This feature is currently available only to customers participating in a Public Preview. For details, see Preview Program.

File transfers are not currently supported with VNC remote connections.

Prerequisites

VNC can be configured at two levels before a session can be launched:

  • Tenant level: VNC support can be enabled globally. See Enabling VNC Support for more information.

  • Per-computer level: VNC can be enabled on the specific computer asset, and an optional custom port can be set. See Per-Computer VNC Configuration for more information.

The tenant level configuration will be deprecated soon. Delinea recommends disabling VNC services at the tenant level and enabling them on individual computer assets.

Launching Remote Connections

  1. In the Inventory section, locate the Computer asset to which you would like to launch a remote session.

  2. Click the launch icon.

  3. Click Launch with VNC Manual Credentials

  4. Select a site to launch the PRA session.

You will be prompted to select a site if you have more than one Platform site with PRA workloads.

  5. Enter your credentials to connect.

Some VNC servers do not require a User Name. If this is the case, you may leave this field blank.

  6. Once successfully connected, you can view the connection protocol in the About session window:
