Autofilling
The Autofill feature enables user credentials to be automatically filled into a login form.
The Credential Manager's password manager cannot fully prevent users from revealing passwords on some websites, such as through 'show password' buttons or browser tools. While we protect passwords in the vault and offer features to reduce exposure, we cannot control what happens on third-party sites.
Autofilling a One-Time Passcode (OTP)
Delinea Credential Manager can autofill a one-time passcode (OTP). When prompted to enter an OTP during a login process, and if the secret is configured to generate an OTP, Credential Manager automatically fills in the current OTP code. As the OTP code expires, Credential Manager updates the field with the new OTP until you submit the login.
If Credential Manager does not automatically detect the OTP fields, you can manually copy and paste the OTP from the secret.
To copy the OTP:
-
Open Credential Manager.
-
Open the secret details.
-
Click the OTP to copy it.
Ensure you use a current OTP code when manually pasting, as it will not update automatically before form submission.
For more information on setting up OTPs for secret templates, see Enabling OTPs for Launchers.
