Setup

Refer to the following information in the Prerequisites, Create a User in Privilege Access Management, Integration Downloads or Imports, Import an XML File in ServiceNow sections to successfully setup ServiceNow to integrate with Delinea Cloud Suite Integration.

Prerequisites

  • A valid user account with a System Administrator role.

  • A ServiceNow instance of Utah or higher version is required.

  • Privilege Elevation Commands/Command Sets must be preconfigured in Cloud Suite to request Privilege Elevation Commands in ServiceNow.

  • Roles must be pre-configured in Cloud Suite to raise requests in ServiceNow for Role Access.

  • The required directories must be associated with Cloud Suite.

Create a User in Privilege Access Management

To use Privilege Access Management (PAM), create a new user and assign a System Administrator role.

  1. In PAM, select Access > Users > Add User.

  2. In the Account section, enter the Login Name, Email Address, and Display Name.

  3. Go to the Access tab > Roles > System Administrator.

  4. Select the Members tab and click Add to see the recently added user.

You can download the Delinea Cloud Suite Integration from the ServiceNow store (recommended) or import an XML file manually into ServiceNow.

Ensure that your ServiceNow release instance is Utah or a later version before proceeding with downloading / installation.

Import an XML File in ServiceNow

To import an XML file into ServiceNow using the Delinea Cloud Integration, follow these steps.

  1. Unzip the XML file.

  2. Log into ServiceNow.

  3. Go to theAll tab and click Retrieved Update Sets.

  4. Select Import Update Set from XML.

  5. Select the unzipped XML file and click Upload.

  6. Once the file imports, it displays under Retrieved Update Set.

  7. Open the uploaded file and click Preview Update Set.

  8. If errors display after the preview, select the errors and click Accept the Remote Set option from the dropdown. Accepting those errors won’t affect the functionality of the integration.

  9. The state is changed to Previewed.

  10. Select Commit Update Set.

  11. After a successful commit the state changes to Committed, indicating the integration’s installation is complete.
