Setup

To set up the integration between Securosys HSM and Secret Server, you must download and install the Primus PKCS#11 Provider software. The Primus PKCS#11 Provider provides vendor-specific configuration and communication with Primus HSM clusters.

To download the provider software, you must have an account on the Securosys Support Portal.

The following section describes how to download and install the Primus PKCS#11 Provider.

Downloading and Installing the Primus PKCS#11 Provider

This section describes how to download and install the Primus PKCS#11 Provider. For an overview of the PKCS#11 Provider, see PKCS#11 Provider in the Securosys documentation. For the supported platforms, available installation packages for the different platforms, and other installation details, see Installation in the Securosys documentation.

1. Download the Primus PKCS#11 Provider archive (a zip file) and extract its contents.

2. Depending on your operating system, do one of the following:

   • On Windows, run PrimusAPI_PKCS11-version-platform.msi.

   • On Linux, follow the notes in the "Client Software Installation" section in Installation.

3. Complete the installation.
