Create an RDP Credential in Secret Server

Create a secret in Secret Server using the Window Account secret template.

Click Save and the new secret displays.

Click RDP Launcher and the session launches, and a confirmation dialog box displays.

Click Open RDPWinBootstrapper and the session connects with the target server, and an RDP dialog box displays.

Click Connect and Active Session displays below the RDP Launcher button.

Return to RTS.

Reload the dynamic folder and the Window Account secret displays in RTS.

Right-click the Connections folder and select Add > Remote Desktop.

The Add Remote Desktop Connection Settings wizard displays.

Click Credentials.

If necessary, click the Configuration dropdown list and select Use an existing credential.

Click the Credential dropdown list and select the credential you created earlier.

Click OK and the wizard closes.

Click to expand the Connections folder under your connection.

Right-click the connection you created and select Connect. Your new session displays as a new tab in RTS.
- The new RDP session displays in its own tab.
- The existing credential is used to connect with the 10.7.1.114 server.
- The fetched credential from the Window Account secret from Secret Server

Yes displays in the Connected column for that server's connection.
If you try to connect to the server and get a "Windows Security: Your credentials did not work," error, try correcting the password in the Windows Account secret in SS and reload the dynamic folder in RTS.
