Configuring Automatic Password Changing After Each Scan
This integration supports remote password changing (RPC) for the privilege account password that is used for authentication on a target computer during an authenticated scan. When a scan is initiated in Qualys, the integration connects to Secret Server and accesses the secret that stores the privilege account password. That secret gets automatically checked out to grant exclusive access to the integration. When the scan is complete, the secret gets checked in, and the password on the secret is automatically changed.
To configure automatic password changing on check-in for your secret, perform the following high-level steps in Secret Server:
