Verifying the Integration with Microsoft Defender for Identity

The initial sync will pull all connected domains and the specified Entra ID Tenant or Ad on-prem identities. After that, the integration will match discovered user accounts to secrets and only identify changes to send to Microsoft Defender for Identity. Microsoft Defender for Identity will tag the associated account as "Managed Account (Delinea)" if a match is found.

To verify the integration, select Synch Now on the Configuration tab. Alternatively, the synchronization will occur based on a configured interval.

You can review sync log on the Secret Server Defender Integration Logs tab.

To validate that identity has been tagged in Microsoft Defender for Identity:

1. Log in to your Microsoft Defender tenant.

2. Select Identity dashboard, then choose the identity to view the details page. You should see a tag "Managed Account(Delinea).
