To set up the integration between ScreenConnect and Secret Server, you must perform the following tasks:

Installing the Delinea Extension for ScreenConnect

To enable the integration between ScreenConnect and Secret Server, you must install the Delinea extension from the ConnectWise Extension Marketplace in your ScreenConnect instance by following the steps below. Installing the extension activates the integration functionality in your instance.

To install the Delinea extension:

  1. Log in to the ScreenConnect Cloud Portal and select Sign In.

  2. In the left navigation pane, select Instances and on the Instances page, select the name of your instance to access it.

  3. In the left navigation pane, select Admin.

  4. Under Administration, select Extensions.

  5. At the top of the Extensions page, select Browse Extension Marketplace.

  6. In the search bar in the upper-right corner of the Extension Marketplace, enter Delinea to display the thumbnail for the Delinea Secret Server extension.

  7. Select the thumbnail to open the description of the extension and select Install.

 

Building an Access Installer

In your ScreenConnect instance, you must build an access installer by following the steps below and then run it on your host machine and on your remote machines. When you run the access installer on a remote machine, it installs an access agent (the ScreenConnect client software) on that machine. Installing the access agent creates a persistent remote access session between the host machine and the remote machine in ScreenConnect.

To build an access installer:

  1. Log in to the ScreenConnect Cloud Portal and select Sign In.

  2. In the left navigation pane, select Instances and then on the Instances page, select the name of your instance to access it.

  3. In the left navigation pane, select Access.

  4. Under Access, select Build.

  5. In the Build Installer dialog, provide the following information:

    • Name: Provide the name for the access session that the installer will create:

      • Use Machine Name: Label the access session by the name of the machine.

      • Use Specific Value: Enter your own name to identify the access session.

    • Company: Enter Delinea.

    • Site: Enter the IP address of the remote machine.

    • Department: Leave blank.

    • Device Type: Leave blank.

    • Type: Select an installer option. For Windows, the recommended selection is Windows (.exe).

  6. Select Download to download the installer in your browser.

  7. Run the installer (ScreenConnect.ClientSetup.exe) on your host machine to install the ScreenConnect client software.

  8. Run the installer on the remote machine that you want to connect to from the host machine to install an access agent on that remote machine.

    After the installation is complete, an access session appears for the remote machine on the sessions list in the Access section.

  9. Repeat step 9 for each remote machine that you want to connect to from the host machine.
