To set up the integration between Blue Prism and Secret Server, you must perform the following tasks:

  • Import the Delinea integration extension into Blue Prism to enable the integration.

  • If you want Blue Prism bots to log in to a remote machine using the credentials retrieved from Secret Server, install Blue Prism Login Agent.

The following sections describe how to perform these tasks.

Importing the Delinea Extension into Blue Prism

To set up the integration between Blue Prism and Secret Server, you must import the Delinea extension into Blue Prism. This installs the extension as a release package in Blue Prism. You can import the extension by downloading it from the Blue Prism Digital Exchange (the recommended method) or by downloading the extension to your computer and then importing it into Blue Prism.

Importing the Delinea Exension from the Blue Prism Digital Exchange

This section describes how to download the Delinea extension from Blue Prism from the Blue Prism Digital Exchange and then import it into Blue Prism.

To import the Delinea extension into Blue Prism from the Blue Prism Digital Exchange:

  1. Download the release package with the Delinea extension for Blue Prism:

    1. Go to the Blue Prism Digital Exchange.

    2. In the upper-right corner of the Blue Prism Digital Exchange, select Login and log in to the Digital Exchange with your Blue Prism Portal credentials.

    3. Search for "Delinea Secret Server" by using the search box at the top.

    4. In the lower-right corner of the tile, select the download icon to download the release package with the extension.

  2. Import the extension into Blue Prism:

    1. Log in to Blue Prism Robotic Process (RPA) software.

    2. In Blue Prism RPA, in the navigation bar on the left, select Releases.

    3. Navigate to File > Import > Release / Skill.

    4. In the Import Release window, select Browse to choose the downloaded release package with the extension (Delinea.Platform.SecretServer-1.0.0.bprelease).

    5. Confirm that the input file is Delinea.Platform.SecretServer-1.0.0 and select Next.

    6. Select Finish to complete the import.

The DelineaSecretServer-<version> package appears on the Package Overview page of the Release Manager, which indicates that the extension is installed in Blue Prism.

Importing the Delinea Extension via Local Import

If you cannot use the Blue Prism Digital Exchange, you can download the Blue Prism release package containing the Delinea extension to your computer and then import the package into Blue Prism.

To import the Delinea extension into Blue Prism from your computer:

  1. Download the release package that contains the Delinea extension.

  2. Import the extension into Blue Prism:

    1. Log in to Blue Prism Robotic Process (RPA) software.

    2. In Blue Prism RPA, in the navigation bar on the left, select Releases.

    3. Navigate to File > Import > Release / Skill, as shown.

    4. In the Import Release window, select Browse to choose the downloaded release package with the extension (Delinea.Platform.SecretServer-1.0.0.bprelease).

    5. Confirm that the input file is Delinea Secret Server.bprelease and select Next.

      The Delinea Secret Server package appears on the Package Overview page.

    6. Select Finish to complete the import.

The DelineaSecretServer-<version> package appears on the Package Overview page of the Release Manager, which indicates that the extension is installed in Blue Prism.

Importing Blue Prism Login Agent

If you want Blue Prism bots to log in to a remote computer by using the credentials retrieved from Secret Server, you must import the Login Agent package into Blue Prism.

To import the Login Agent package:

  1. Log in to Blue Prism Robotic Process (RPA) software.

  2. In Blue Prism RPA, in the navigation bar on the left, select Releases.

  3. Navigate to File > Import > Release / Skill.

  4. In the Import Release window, select Browse to browse to the Blue Prism Login Agent folder in the Blue Prism installation folder on your computer and select the Login Agent Release.bprelease file as the input file and select Next.

  5. In the Process Logging Overview step of the Import Release window, select Next.

  6. Select Finish to complete the package import.

The Login Agent Release package appears on the Package Overview page.
