Delinea Mobile Overview

You can log into multiple Secret Server and Platform tenants using the Delinea Mobile app. It supports biometric authentication, enhancing your convenience and security. Once logged in, you can view secrets you have permission to access in your Secret Server vault. Additionally, you can create new secrets directly in the mobile app and organize them into folders.

The mobile app serves as an auto-fill provider on mobile devices, automatically entering usernames and passwords for matching secrets. It offers convenient time-based on-time password (TOTP) capabilities, compatible with sites and web applications supporting TOTP-based authentication.

You can download the Delinea application from the following sources:

• iOS App Store
• Google Play Store

The minimum supported versions are iOS 15 and Android 13.

This section will discuss the main features of Delinea Mobile, including the Delinea Authenticator app, Biometric Unlock, Autofill, and accessing secrets offline.

Delinea Authenticator Application

The Delinea Authenticator app provides a secure method for logging into the Delinea Platform.

The Authenticator app is different from the Delinea Mobile authentication feature.

In our documentation, we use the following terms:

• Delinea Authenticator application: Delinea Authenticator or Authenticator app.

• Delinea Mobile authentication feature: Delinea Mobile authentication feature or Mobile authentication feature.

Biometric Unlock

Both the Delinea Mobile app and the Authenticator app enable biometric authentication instead of usernames and passwords.

They support the following:

• Fingerprint (Android and iOS)
• Facial recognition (select iOS devices)

Autofill

You can launch web sessions from secrets on your device if you enable your mobile device's autofill service and register it. The app automatically populates username and password credentials for specified websites or other mobile applications.

Accessing Secrets Offline with Delinea Mobile

Delinea Mobile allows you to download and access secrets offline. When the app detects no network connection, it automatically switches to Offline Mode, enabling you to view previously downloaded secrets. However, in this mode, you cannot edit existing secrets or add new ones.

Downloaded secrets are marked with a 'downloaded' icon, and offline access typically expires after one day, although this can be changed by Secret Server's configuration settings.

To download secrets you must have the 'Access Secrets Offline on Mobile' permission.

While in Offline Mode, you can use third-party TOTP codes that you have set up in the app. Additionally, the MFA code used for logging into the Delinea Platform remains active during Offline Mode.

You cannot download secrets with access restrictions, such as 'Requires Comment', and there are no per-secret controls to enable or disable the downloading function.
