Installing Browser Extensions

Install a supported browser extension to use Web Password Filler:

• Chrome: Install the extension in one of the following ways: 

  • Click the Web launcher icon in a Web Password secret.

  • Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store.

• Edge Chromium: Install the extension by downloading it from Microsoft Add-ons.

• Firefox: Install the extension by clicking the Web launcher icon in a Web Password secret, or by downloading it from the Firefox Browser Add-ons .

• Safari: Download the extension from the Apple support page for Safari Extensions on your Mac. For more information, see the notes in the list below:

  • WPF supports Safari running on macOS Monterey and Big Sur 11.1.0, 11.2.1 and later.

  • WPF does not support the Native Messaging Host configuration in Safari browsers.
  • The Safari browser extension does not support Windows Admin Center.

  • Safari 15 and above do not support session recording.
