Connecting to the Delinea Platform and Secret Server

After installation, configure Web Password Filler to connect to the Delinea Platform or Secret Server vault by entering the vault URL in the WPF window.

Connecting to the Delinea Platform

  1. Open the browser in where Web Password Filler is installed.
  2. Click the image-20191205103957493 icon. The WPF login window appears.
  3. Enter the Delinea Platform URL and click Next

  4. Complete login in the browser.

  1. If prompted, enter your username and click Next

  1. If required, select an authentication method, enter your credentials and click Next

  1. You are now logged in

Connecting to Secret Server

To connect WPF with Secret Server:

  1. Open the browser where Web Password Filler is installed.
  2. Click the Web Password Fillerimage-20191205103957493 icon to open Web Password Filler.

  1. Enter your Secret Server URL, for example: https://mycompany.secretservercloud.com then click Next

  2. You can sign in with any of your configured login methods. To use the web login, click Next

  1. Proceed to the browser to complete the login

Logging in Locally

If you selected Local Login in Step 4 of the previous section, enter your Username and Password to login.

Specifying Default Protocols

If you do not specify a protocol in the Secret Server URL, Web Password Filler will use https:// by default.

If you click Next, Web Password Filler assumes https:// is the correct protocol and proceeds as if you had prefixed https://.

If you specify a protocol, Web Password Filler uses it.

When connected to the Delinea Platform or Secret Server, Web Password Filler displays the vault URL at the bottom of the window. Click this link to open the Delinea Platform or Secret Server vault site directly in your browser.
