GNOME Desktop Preferences

GNOME is a commonly used desktop environment for Linux computers. GNOME provides a configuration system, GConf or GSettings, to store and manage GNOME user preferences. Many settings are pre-configured and stored as user preferences in the file system. The tools you use to get and set desktop preferences depend on the version of GNOME you are using. The Delinea GNOME group policies enable you to set preferences from a central location and a single interface instead of using the native tools for configuring settings. For information about setting GNOME preferences using native tools, see the documentation provided on the GNOME website.
