Launcher Settings

Overview

Launcher settings control the global behavior of all launchers in Secret Server. These settings apply to protocol handlers and launchers after they're installed on user machines.

Search for Launcher Settings to enable or disable the related settings.

The settings in this section apply only to launchers that connect to this server. To change global settings for new installations of the Protocol Handler from this server, see the 'Protocol Handler Installer' section.

  • Enable Launcher: Controls whether the launcher feature is enabled for this Secret Server instance.

  • Enable Protocol Handler Auto-Update: Controls whether protocol handlers automatically update when Secret Server is upgraded. Disable this in environments with multiple Secret Server instances to prevent version conflicts.

  • Allow the Server to Retrieve Website Content: Allows the server to retrieve and parse the mapped website when using the web launcher.

  • Allow Web Launcher Mappings to be Downloaded: Allows the user to download existing and tested mappings from Delinea.com.

  • Allow Web Launcher Mappings to be Uploaded Off-Site: Allows the user to upload successful mappings to Delinea.com in order to be shared with other users.

  • Check in Secret on Launcher Close: Forces Check In of Secret when user closes their only active launcher.

  • Close Launcher on Check In Secret: When Secret is Checked In, all active launchers associated with it will close.
