Checking Secrets In and Out

Managing secret workflows enables you to securely handle sensitive information. This section covers best practices to enhance your secret workflows.

Checking Out a Secret

You can check out a secret from Secret Server directly from Delinea Mobile.

To check out a secret:

1. Select the secret you would like to check out.

2. The app displays the check out screen.

   

3. Select Check Out.

   If secret check out requires approval, the required users must approve it.

4. You will gain access to the secret, changing its state to checked out.

   

Checking In a Secret

You can check in a secret from Secret Server using Delinea Mobile.

To check a secret back in:

1. Tap on the more options menu at the top of the screen.

   

2. Tap Check In.

   

Checking Out a Secret Tied to a Ticketing System

You can check out a secret tied to a ticketing system using Delinea Mobile.

To check out a secret tied to a ticketing system:

1. Select the desired secret. The app displays the ticket window.

   

2. In the Ticket System dropdown select the ticket system that has the needed fields.

   

3. Fill in all of the required fields and tap Continue.

4. You have now checked out the secret.
