Offline Caching

Offline caching stores encrypted copies of secrets, folders, and their associated data on your mobile device. You can access cached content when an internet connection is unavailable. Your administrator sets the maximum time you can access cached content offline.

The cache updates automatically when you open the app with internet access and clears whenever the max offline time limit is reached or when you manually remove the cached information.

An administrator must grant you the 'Access Offline Secrets on Mobile' permission before you can download secrets. See Access Offline Secrets on Mobile.

Downloading Secrets for Offline Access

To download secrets for offline access:

1. Open the Secrets tab in Credential Manager mobile.

2. Select the secret you want to download.

3. Tap the more options menu.

4. Select Download Secret.

   A success dialog appears and a green arrow appears next to the secret name, indicating the secret is available offline.

Downloading Folders

To download folders for offline caching:

1. Open a folder in the Folders tab of the Credential Manager mobile app.

2. Tap the dropdown menu next to the folder name.

3. Select Download.

   A 'Download Secrets' dialog appears.

4. Tap Download.

   A loading bar appears at the top of the screen with the message 'Queued for download' and 'downloading'.

   To stop a download in progress, tap the square icon on the right side of the loading bar, then tap Stop in the 'Stop Download' dialog.

5. Tap Close.

   The Success dialog appears.

   If your download fails you will receive an error notification
