To implement Delinea IGA, you connect the Delinea Platform to key systems in your environment. These connections enable Delinea IGA to manage identities and automate provisioning across your enterprise.

In Delinea IGA, connected applications and systems are called Resources. Resources can include applications, systems, data, or infrastructure. They are generally classified into two categories:

  • Authoritative Sources: Systems that provide the “source of truth” for identity data, such as Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms like Workday or BambooHR.

  • Targets: Systems where accounts and access are provisioned, such as Identity Providers (IdPs) like Entra ID or Okta, SaaS applications, or on-premises applications.

How Resources Are Used

By linking authoritative sources and targets, Delinea IGA can:

  • Capture lifecycle events (hires, role changes, terminations) from an HCM system.

  • Automate account provisioning and deprovisioning in connected targets.

  • Streamline onboarding so new employees have the right access on day one.

  • Enforce consistent identity governance across diverse systems.

Example Use Case

For example, when a new employee is added in an HCM system, Delinea IGA can automatically create an account in the connected IdP and provision access to required SaaS applications.
