Tenant Customization

You can customize the look and feel of your Delinea Platform tenant to suit your own corporate branding and identity. This will make it clear to users that they are receiving access to the platform through your organization. These customizations will be reflected at the login prompt and at the top of the left navigation menu.

If you do not see your customizations, you may need to refresh your browser or log in again to see the changes reflected.

To customize your Delinea Platform tenant so that it looks more similar to your own company products:

Branding Settings

  1. On the Tenant customization page, the Branding tab displays the current customization settings for your tenant instance.

  2. Click Edit. The page displays many fields you can use to customize your tenant.

  3. Fill in the tenant customization fields.

    Company Name: Enter your company name. It will appear below your custom logo image at the login prompt. When you change the Company Name field, you must also provide the URLs to your company's Terms and Conditions and your Privacy Policy, along with your company's logo image files.

    Terms & Conditions (URL): Enter the URL to your company's terms and conditions. It will appear as a hyperlink below your custom logo at the login prompt. When you change the Terms & Conditions field, you must also provide your company's logo image files.

    Privacy Policy (URL): Enter the URL to your company's Privacy Policy. It will appear as a hyperlink below your custom logo at the login prompt. When you change the Privacy Policy field, you must also provide your company's logo image files.

    Username Hint Text at Login: Provide a short sentence of hint text for login fields.

    Display banner at login: Enable or disable the display of a banner.

    Banner Text: Enter the text you wish to appear on your banner.

    Images for Light and Dark Mode: To successfully deploy a custom logo on the Delinea Platform, you must upload all light mode and dark mode logo image files as specified below. These images will override the default Delinea logos presented at the login prompt and at the top of the platform's left navigation menu. When you populate the logo images, you must also provide your company name, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy links. The logo image files must meet the following specifications:

    • Image file formats: JPG or PNG
    • Maximum file size: 500 KB
    • Maximum image dimensions:
      • Splash: 400 x 400px
      • Small banner: 200 x 50px
      • Icon: 50 x 50px

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Experience Settings

You can customize the platform experience for the users in your Delinea Platform tenant, including how dates and times are displayed and how anonymized usage data is collected. These settings are managed on the Experience tab of the Tenant Customization page.

Time and Date Format

By default, the Delinea Platform displays times and dates using each user's browser settings. As an administrator, you can set a consistent, tenant-wide format so that all users see times and dates the same way. This is useful for organizations with globally distributed teams, where differing regional formats (for example, MM/DD/YY versus DD/MM/YY) can cause confusion.

The tenant-wide format you set is the default for all users who have their personal date and time format preference set to Tenant default, while users with custom personal settings remain unaffected. Individual users can override it and choose their own time and date format in their personal preferences.

Setup

To set the tenant-wide time and date format, requires tenant profile update permissions; administrators without this permission can only view the settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Tenant customization page and select the Experience tab.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. In the Time format list, select one of the available preset formats to apply across your tenant.

  4. In the Date format list, select one of the available preset formats to apply across your tenant.

  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

The rendering of date and time formats in the UI follows a clear precedence:

  1. A user’s explicitly chosen format in their profile takes priority.

  2. If the user selects Tenant default, the administrator-configured format on the Experience tab is used.

  3. If the user selects Browser default or if no tenant default is set, the user's browser locale determines the format.

This design ensures that most users will follow the tenant default, allowing administrators to standardize display formats while preserving individual user preferences.

The tenant and user format preferences apply universally wherever the platform displays date or time values in the UI, such as dashboards, lists, detail pages, audit trails, and activity logs. However, system-generated timestamps in exports, logs, and API responses continue to use the ISO 8601 standard and are unaffected by these preferences.

Date Format

In addition to Browser default, the tenant-wide and user-specific options include a variety of date formats such as:

Usage Data

The Delinea Platform can collect anonymized usage data to help improve its services On the Experience tab, you can control whether this data is collected for your tenant and how users are informed when it is. For details about what is collected and how it is used, see the Privacy policy.

Availability: These controls are available only for tenants located outside the United States. For these tenants, anonymized usage data collection is off by default. An administrator can choose to enable collection at the tenant level, and — depending on the option selected — individual users can control their own participation.

The Anonymized usage data collection setting offers three options:

  • Off: No anonymized usage data is collected for your tenant. This is the default.

  • Notify users: Anonymized usage data is collected. Users see a one-time notification after they log in, informing them that anonymized usage data is collected.

  • Ask each user for consent: When users first log in, they choose whether to share their anonymized usage data. Collection occurs only for users who opt in.

To configure anonymized usage data collection:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Tenant customization and select the Experience tab.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Under Usage Data, open the Anonymized usage data collection list and select Off, Notify users, or Ask each user for consent.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.
