Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue for macOS where users were getting the error message, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" after losing connection and attempting to reconnect to Connection Manager.

  • Fixed an issue for macOS where users were unable to use the Control or Shift keys when connecting to a remote machine via RDP.

  • Fixed an issue for macOS where the RDP session was not disconnecting when the user selected "Disconnect" from the menu.

  • Fixed an issue where users were getting the error message, "Error accessing Secret" on secrets with checkout enabled.

  • Fixed an issue where users would get a 404 error when attempting to launch pre-saved local connections after an in-place upgrade from Connection Manager version 1.5.0.

Connection Manager and Secret Server Version Compatibility

Operation of CM v1.6.0 with earlier versions of Secret Server is unaffected. If you are using Secret Server v11.0 or newer, OR you are a cloud customer, please upgrade to Connection Manager v1.6.2 or newer.
If using Secret Server v11.0 or newer, Connection Manager v1.6.0 and earlier cannot access or launch secrets with Lists. Operation of CM v1.6.0 with earlier versions of Secret Server is unaffected. If using Secret Server v11.0 or newer, upgrade to Connection Manager v1.6.2 or newer for Lists support.

Operation of CM v1.6.1 with earlier versions of Secret Server is unaffected. If using Secret Server v11.0 or newer, upgrade to Connection Manager v1.6.2 or newer for Lists support.
Connection Manager’s built-in upgrade feature does not work when upgrading to v1.6.1. This issue affects both Mac and Windows versions of Connection Manager. Download and run the Connection Manager installer for the desired version. Manual installation and installation using a software deployment tool are equally effective.
Connection Manager v1.6.1 does not function correctly on macOS Big Sur. Connection Manager crashes when user provides the password for their local data store. Upgrade to Connection Manager v1.6.2 or newer.
1.6.2 (rel. Aug 17, 2021 Access and launch for all secrets Connection Manager’s built-in upgrade feature does not work when upgrading to v1.6.2 for some users.
