Unregistering Authenticator

You can unregister Authenticator from your tenant at any time.

During backend migration, you may see multiple records for the Credential Manager app on the Applications tab in your User Profile. If this occurs, unregister the older record so that only the updated record remains visible. This does not impact functionality.

There are two ways to unregister Authenticator, depending on where you want to remove the registration:

  • From the Authenticator App: Use this method to remove a tenant directly from Authenticator on your mobile device.

  • From the Delinea Platform: Use this method to remove the Authenticator record from your Applications tab in the Delinea Platform.

You can use either or both methods, depending on your needs. To completely disconnect the app from your account, unregister in both places.

To unregister a tenant from Authenticator:

  1. Open the application settings.

  2. Select your tenant you want to unregister.

  3. Tap Unregister.

    To register your tenant again, follow Registering Authenticator.

To unregister the Authenticator from the Delinea Platform:

  1. Open the Applications tab in the Delinea Platform.

  2. Locate the application record and tap the kebab menu on the card.

  3. Tap Unregister.

When you unregister Authenticator from your tenant, the app no longer appears as an authentication method during login for that tenant.
